The same way that periods cause annoyances like cramping, acne and moody moody mood swings, they can also affect your precious digestive system. Not following? We’re talking diarrhea or diarrhea adjacent here. They’re usually a bit different than your usual cacarellas and you might find yourself running to the bathroom more often. Period poops are bowel movements that typically happen at the start of your period. *cue evil laugh*Ĭlose the door and open a window, it’s time to dive into the mysterious, wondrous (and gassy) world of period poops. And yet for something so common, we barely talk about it. Even a recent study confirmed that 73% of people with periods have funky #2’s when Flo is visiting. But the more I think about it the more I realize- weird poops on your period are just as common as cramps, mood swings and breakouts.
